Its in pounds remember, eg: 100 pounds = $167 US

To me it still seems a bit pointless getting a 955 and not upgrading that mobo and ram, DDR2 will kind of bottleneck and I wouldn't feel safe overclocking on a board that can only handle that cpu after a BIOS update (if you do plan on OCing that is).

DDR2 won't bottleneck at all, but the board might pose a problem.

At this point I would not recommend the Phenom II 955 at all, because in a few weeks there will be new AMD CPU's.

This. Exactly.

DDR2 doesn't "bottleneck" ..

Well I suppose bottleneck wasn't really the correct term, but it would definitely have an impact on performance. Either way I would still suggest a new board.

I know, id be better with a new board, and i still might, just a bit cautious switching board over compatibility issues etc, haven't done it before.

Yeah I know what you mean. Amazon has a fairly good reputation in regards to shipping. My first preference is bought in a store, no chances of something oing wrong with shipping etc.

The DDR2 ram wouldn't work, but there wouldn't be any other incompatibility issues.
