That's why you should try to sell your wife and afford even more computer equipment

Well, I just recently made the switch and I'm very please with the video encoding difference. Went from 8-10 min encoding a movie to 1½ minutes. To say the least, I was very impressed.

@ Blue : After selling off my Q9650, UD3P, and 8gb OCZ DDR2-1066...my total out-of-pocket expense was a mere $25 and I upgraded video card from an HD5770 to HD5870

You need to get me some benches if you haven't posted them already, since we were in the same boat prior to your upgrade!

If you ever have the upgrade itch you must consider the following:

1. Ask yourself if you need the upgrade or want the upgrade
2. Look at your bank balance.
3. Take not of any upcoming or outstanding payments.

Then if you need an upgrade and your bank balance is in check with any upcoming payments buy the new hardware.

If you just want an upgrade and you have enough money, buy it

If your a poor **** who either needs or wants a new system then put it off until you can safely afford it.

Obviously an upgrade to SB would be a lot of fun!

I know there are plenty of people here at the OCN who are jealous at my SSD's. I only fear now that they will be even more jealous when I get my Sandy setup
