EVGA GeForce GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper 2 vs Reference 580 + Full cover Water block (which water block?)

Which CPU block? (ATM I'm looking @ the XSPC and EK blocks)

A Rasa kit (360) vs full on custom setup temp difference?

Do RAM need sinks?

Do Mobos need sinks?

I have heard out water leaking and frying the components, whats the possiblity of it?

What is the number of maintenances required to keep a wc setup in good condition?

Kill coil vs PT nuke? (I will be using distilled water with NO dyes/coloring)

How big of a rad is needed to cool 1 gpu and 1 cpu? 2 gpu and 1 cpu?

280 rad vs 360 rad?

If I put a rad as intake, will hot air be inside my case?

Just get 2 Ref. Cards and two full cover blocks.

Many like EK blocks, but they are a bit pricey.

The Rasa kit is great for money, actually not much of a temp difference.

The RAM on the Graphics card or on the motherboard?

No, it really isnt necessary.

Possibility of a leak if leak tested before hand is EXTREMELY LOW.

Change out water every 3-6 months with new distilled water, not tap.

Kill Coil. PT Nuke voids some warranties.

A 360 Rad should be totally fine, get some decent fans however depending on your preference.

Yes, hot air will enter your case if it is intake.

Just get 2 Ref. Cards and two full cover blocks. I'm just gonna get 1 card for now and then expand to 2 later.

Many like EK blocks, but they are a bit pricey. Temp difference? I prefer the ek block because its so pretty!

The Rasa kit is great for money, actually not much of a temp difference. Yeah but how much difference in temps? can I just mimic the rasa kit with my own selected components? I don't really like the res because its in the 5.25 bay. How much cheaper is the kit + gpu block to a custom setup?

The RAM on the Graphics card or on the motherboard? I mean as in the RAM on the mobo.

Possibility of a leak if leak tested before hand is EXTREMELY LOW. How do I test it? This will be my first time ever with water.

A 360 Rad should be totally fine, get some decent fans however depending on your preference. Black Ice vs XSPC vs EK rads? are Gentle Typhoons or Noiseblockers ok?

XSPC's rasa block is really good, so are the EK blocks. I would also suggest looking at the Swiftech Apogee XT Rev2, but essentially, go for the one that looks best / cheapest, there really isnt much difference.

Depends what you'll spend on the full custom loop, considering everything in the rasa kit is top notch except for the pump, you wont see much difference unless you want to have say, triple SLI (cos' the rasa pump has lowish flow and split 3 ways it will suffer) more than one 360 rad, which you will if you want a lot of GPUs in the loop or if you want something like chipset and RAM cooling, basically anything that means you'll need more restrictive components in your loop...

You can, but not really no, if you're worried get a top mounted RAM fan

For very high clocks I'll say yes, but those aren't your typical 24/7 clocks and you can go a very long way directing a fan at the heat sink

None if you set it up properly. Hell even if you don't, I had a computer top cover off for 3 hours running while I was afk with the window open. when I came back it had about 2mm motherboard coverage in rainwater (board was flat) ~ not one component was broken, though the mobo did grow a few new "features", it's NB now displays as 4volts in the BIOS now

Very little, I take mine appart quite often anyway because I just like it

But you could leave it for years only topping up the coolant maybe every 6 months.

Killcoil, I use both but I have found a killcoil more effective and easier.

1 GPU 1 CPU I would say a 360, you'd prob get some gains from more rad, but prob not worth the hassle.

2 GPU and a CPU I would be looking at a 360 and another rad of some kind, I think you'll probably see temp gains up to another 360, especially for silent low speed fans.

39200mm2 vs 43200mm2 Assuming the same rads are the same otherwise, I'd guess the 360 would be 10% better. If the passage of the water through the 360 is longer though, you'll see a larger dT due to that, and probably an increased pressure drop.

Depends how efficient your comp is at dumping heat, if the radiator(and coolant) is hot, you will pump hot air into your case, if the radiator is cold, you probably wont see a difference.

If that didn't make sense, I mean it as in; more radiators will have a smaller difference in temps between coolant and ambient. So if you have 3 rads at 25oC, the air coming in can only be at tops 25oC, If you have 1 rad at 35oC, the air can be up to 35oC, which may cause you some more issues.

Well I just googled it, the Hydro Copper II is actually quite the effective waterblock. Doesnt really get the VRMs that well though.

Jump the PSU with a paper clip and run the loop for a few hours with only the pump running. I'll admit I haven't done this in years, I just use my PSU tester to let the loop run for like 2 minutes after it's full and if water isn't spraying everywhere call it a day.

There isn't really a big performance difference between the top blocks though.

ok sooo:

CPU block (Koolance 370 or XSPC rasa or EK Supreme HF)
GPU block
280/360 rad (Black ice, EK, WSPC, thermochill)
res (frozen q? EK?)
pump (EK? XSPC?)
tubing (which brand? I would like white tubing or black tubing.)
bitspower fittings
fans (kaze maru, gt, ty140, noiseblocker etc.)
