Great build.
Although I'd recommend a single GTX 580 and a Asus P8P67 Pro to cut some costs.

well... the crossfire HD 6950 is only about £10 more expensive... Do you still think the GTX 580 is the way to go?

Don't get me wrong, the 6950s will definitely outperform it. I'm just not the biggest fan of multi-GPU set-ups.
If he wanted to, he could always pick up a second GTX 580 in the future. You don't have a lucrative upgrade path with Crossfire 6950s.

I would prefer the 6950's in crossfire personally, but thats not made on a performance to cost perspective, its just because I have one already. Try looking for comparisons though

Great build either way though, spot on

Edit: I would choose a nicer/better case to put that gear in though

I sort of agree about the case... But if he were to spend more on the case he would have to downgrade something else... Any other nice case in the price range?

4Gb of ram seems a little light given the budget. Also, no SSD? U Mad?

Why have you got such a expensive mobo? its like £250 ?

Change it to a Asus P8P67 PRo and you save £100 eek
Also the 6950 cfx will smoke a GTX580 in terms of performance

With the extra £100 that you save from changing motherboard, grab a ssd perhaps?

4GB of RAM is fine for gaming? No? I know what you mean about the mobo... I kinda like the 10 USB 3.0 ports though... I'll take that into consideration though.
