I've only had one PowerColor card, a 5870, and had to RMA it a year after use, and it was replaced quickly (though it did get a few days for the RMA request to be approved). Turnaround time was 10 calendar days from Canada.
Do you plan to watercool the card? If you did have to RMA the PowerColor card, I'd simply stick the original cooler back on and ship it out. Unless they put little stickers in their screws like XFX does, how will they know you replaced the cooler? A job well done won't leave any mark.
For the 70$ savings, I'd go with PowerColor as I upgrade my GPU every 2-3 years anyway.
Only thing it'll show is your lack of skill with the search button.

XFX is water friendly. They also will warranty the card when running unlocked.
I don't know Powercolor's stance on the switch but it's pretty important where they stand on it but from whats out there they don't cover it. PC's warranty service pretty good though but their hiding a void sticker under the serial number preventing a backplate removal is a pretty dastardly move.Edited by tsm106 - 5/1/11 at 7:58pm
