Overclock ASUS eee pc EB1012P

All posts about overclocking the various flavors of ASUS's eee pc seem to lead to SetFSB. When I checked it out I discovered that the EB1012P model was an unknown for lack of information about its clock generator chip.

So taking a big gulp I did a tear down to discover that the clock generator appears to be an ICS 9LPRS434AGLF that is used with a crystal marked: TXC 24.0DZP2. I reported these numbers to Abo along with some other diagnostic info and he dutifully sent me a new version of SetFSB that supported my hardware.

So far I have nothing exciting to report. The machine freezes solid at any setting that I've tried above 1713.4 MHz just a smidgen above the stock 1666 MHz clock.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It seems that there is no documentation available for the ICS 9LPRS434AGLF. It may be a custom.
