Sparkle 9400GT

Thread Starter

Hello everyone, Im starting to do more work on my pc and I had a question about the sparkle 9400Gt 1gb version . Will this card run online games? I looked around and there are different models, some have fans and some dont so im curious. I dont want to run heavy games like black ops or anything just online games such as APB reloaded or heat online.

If this card isnt meant for this can you guys give me some suggestions of something equal to this ones performance please? thanks!

link for the card:

p.s Im getting this card from a gpt site so the sooner I get the order in the better.

Try getting an used 8800GT, 9600GSO or a GT430, a 9400gt won't run games that well.

My system is about as fast as yours is, but together with the 8800gts it still plays alot of newer games

what about the fan part? Do I get a card with a fan on it or does it matter?

Heat online system requirements:

CPU: 1800 MHz single core
Memory: 768 Mb
Gfx card: ATI 9600 / GeForce 6600

APB Reloaded system requirements:

CPU: Q6600 2.4GHz
RAM: 4 GB
HDD: 15 GB Free
Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce 7800

No doubt you can play any online mmo or mmorpg on your 17 inch lcd with a 9400GT.
Most if not all mmo games have very low system requirements.

But i wont advise you to buy such crap. The 1gb ram is wasted on the 9400gt, its too slow to even utilize more than 500mb of ram.
Better get at least a 9600GT, GT240, or HD4670. That will make sure you wont have any problems running the newer online games especially if you change to a bigger monitor.

Before I recommend anything, tell me what resolution you play at and supply me with an expanded list of the games you're wanting to play.

Also, what card are you currently using

And most importantly, what's your budget ?
