Edit: damn typos... typing on a tablet right now...
You leak tested for a whole 5 minutes?

I checked my water level after it had been installed a few days and compared it to when I started

It had dropped about 100ml, but I guessed that was just air bubbles and ignored it

It's alllllll good!

I'm almost doubting myself about the 3/8" tubing and the 1/2" barbs now, I have some 3/8" tubing in my old server mod (shameless self promotion) I just posted a build log of, I'm going to be taking that apart in a min anyway though, so I'll prob try replacing some of the barbs with some 1/2" ones.

Anyway, I'll post pics if I manage it, or cry in the corner if I can't...

well not really 5 minutes, hehe, once i got my res filled up bled and all that, i just wrapped a paper towel around the fittings and went back to playing

so anyway, in theory, 3/8 tubing is best with 1/2 fitting? might just go with taht kind of tubing then... thanks a lot! well.. i ahve to say, i learned a lot of stuff from this thread ^_^

reps are given to all who sexed me up!

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but it just reminded me of something I recently did.

I was changing my pump, which is at the bottom of my case, so instead of draining the loop, I flipped the case upsidedown, put some paper towels under the pump and just pulled the old one out and popped the new one in.

I was quite impressed with the paper towels, they soaked up every drop of coolant...

Wait, Crabid, you turned an 800D upside down? To make a U-turn do you just get out, pick up one side of your vehicle and spin it in place?

I am the master! ~ Very modest

3/8" ID:

1/2" OD:

1/2" Barb:

Didn't have to use any hot water, just did a new cut on the tubing and squashed it on.

Holy Dayumn! Nice work! I think I'll still stick with 7/16", though. I think clamps are pretty.
