i have seen the hyper 212+ perform on my freinds ph 2 x6....and it seemed a bit less than adequate for that....

i mean i want something which could let my processor hit 3.9-4.0 and also cost the least among its competitors.....

if you look at that link i gave you, the hyper 212 is nearly 15.c behind the best cooler (silver arrow)
it really depends on your budget

in ur link the cm hyper 212+ maintained around 65 degrees on load at 4ghz.....
seriously..is it that gud......

i know this guy from a different forum, he is purely independent and can be quite anal about it as well
i would trust it, but also see what setup he used

I believe the paste to be "ThermalFusion 400". So it should be pretty decent. If you like another brand then pick some of for around 5 bucks or so and use it. As some here like one type over another. And some just use what they have until it is gone.

Another link someone is doing some test with the 212+ with push and pull.

last question before i go to sleep...my freind who had used hyper 212+ reported that he had trouble with applying/spreading the paste evenly due to the irregular base of hyper 212+...so how can that be avaided,i mean whats the correct way of applying tim in the case of hyper 212+....
