XArmor U9BL-S Backlight

Is there any way to set the backlight? On reboot, the backlight has to be re-enabled.

Did Xarmor bother to add a 3-bits worth of onboard memory?
Once again...

I don't think so. You have to hit Fn-F8 to set it manually every reboot

Actually the memory is there, if you connect the main usb cable to a not working usb port (eg. with a disconnected data line), the keyboard turns of and on with the PC and the light turns on in the last state.

BTW for some strange reason that memory is resetted trough the usb data lines, so does practically nothing.

Likely I will end to mod the keyboard with a knob as I had on the X6 and reclusa.

Shows how much they tested the Xarmor keyboard.

Most modern PCs ship with the USB line on continuous power as default.

Xarmor QC in a nutshell.

That is weird.... How about via serial port?

However, a company cannot design a device based on that assumption.

QC has nothing to do here, it's a missing feature, not a QC issue.

Or do you think that the missing backlight on a Filco Majestouch is also a QC issue ?

A stuck switch is a QC issue, an uneven LED is a QC issue, a badly formed keycap is a QC issue, not this.

Most modern pc have a selectable line, via switch, jumper or bios setting.

But again, nothing to do here. Backlight is resetted aside the rest of the keyboard, no matter if power is continuous or not.

Same behavior, although USB manages better the backlight when th pc enters on sleep states.

Just guessing, but I think they started with the idea of a stored backlight, but they stepped back because some incompatibility with some configurations.

this...and I agree, its annoying, I have to do it with my U9BL

Sorry, it's not technically a QC issue.

It's a matter of dumb firmware engineers. Unlike the Razer firmware engineers.
