I would love to organize an event but I just don't see it happening. There was a Lan party Saturday at Colorado State University that was widely publicized to all students and a whole 5 people showed up.

What do you think?
Saturday on a university campus. That's why lol

This = LAN party

My definition would have to be 2+ people playing the same game in the same house...

lol yeah, good point... I think the last "LAN" party I had was in the barracks in Germany in 2004 but I was in a signal unit then and we were all nerds and had gaming PC's..

not so much anymore, seems like everyone in the army has an XBOX or PS3.

Lucky you...

We pay $1.32 a 1/4 gallon (Australia) and our dollar is currently stronger, go figure!

German here. $8.48 per gallon (1.56€ per litre) here, I challenge anyone to top that price.

I'll have a go...
£1,36 per litre = 1.56euro, which means £5.98 per imperial gallon = $9.84 per real Gallon or $7.10 per US Gallon.

British price is the same as Euro price per litre, we get less per $ because of currency fluctuations..

america is too big. England is a good size, as there are only a few major LANs a year people travel from all over to get to them.

Absolutely not, while online gaming is fun and all, nothing beats old school LAN parties.

I remember last year at my high school I organized a LAN party in the library every week and we all played Civilization II, Total Annihilation, Half-Life, and other games together over a LAN, it was a lot more fun than playing by yourself.

We had 11 guys in my friends basement a while back.
Unfortunately 9 of them were college students and I was the only one left from our shared high school...

Lanparties and not yet a thing of the past but I'm afraid they will be.

Just to let you all know, I'm 15 btw

I've always wanted to go to a LAN party, but sadly I have no idea where one would be Nevada.
