How fast is those RAMs?

Thread Starter
hi all :
it`s my first build ,ZERO knowledge in RAM so how can someone know from his PC about the RAM speed i tried CPUZ but i couldn't understand it well so i came with these 2 images and the PC was idle at that point cause i don't know if they go faster on usage
so how fast are they?

thanks

In simple terms, not very fast, under average.
They are running at 1333MHz with a CL of 9.

^This.
Because:
666MHz x 2 (DDR/Double Data Rate) = ~1333MHz (clock speeds fluctuate)

Nah, they're average. Most system manufacturers use RAM at similar speeds for their pre-built systems. However, on OCN you'll see most people running their DDR3 at 1600MHz with a CL between 6 and 8.

You need to change the speed in the bios.

CAS Latency. Basically your RAM timings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAS_latency

Timings are usually listed in the form:

tCAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS (look it up on wikipedia for more info).

Also DDR= Double Data Rate. Effectively you're running at twice the physical speed so that's what they mean when they say DDR3-1600 (physically running at 800 Mhz but effectively running at 1600 because it does stuff on both the "up"tick and "down"ticks of the clock cycle).
