Formatting SSD and problems

Thread Starter
Im in dire need of some help.

I started to follow this tutorial http://www.overclock.net/ssd/664738-...secondary.html and ran into some problems, like i accidently deleted the "Public" folder and when i started step 15 i get endless searches, ive been changing values for the past hour and it just doesn't stop so i don't know if that's supposed to happen.

So decided to format and start over, my question is how should i got about formatting the SSD? i hear its not good and Corsair forums mention not to do a full format but a quick format because full format kills the SSD. So when i start the windows 7 installation there is only a "format" no quick format or is that the same thing.

Any help would be appreciated right now.

Ok i did a clean install and did a quick format at the installation screen of windows 7 64bit, after installation though i noticed that Windows 7 takes around 20gb! does that sound right?

I also get problem when i put the computer to sleep and wakes up i get the BSOD and then the PC shuts off. Do you think this is a firmware issue with Corsair?

the 20gb sounds about right to me.. if i remember correctly...

Tbh, i wouldnt bother putting the comp to sleep if u have a sdd.. it boots wicked fast anyways.. if not, i think it may have an issue with storing or caching settings before it sleeps because most ssd tweaks turns off a variety of settings to instead, read and write without a lot of the in between gimmicks windows has.
