Razer Mamba or Razer Imperator, Choice?

Thread Starter
Ok I'm getting ready to make a move on a new and first gaming mouse as I'm almost complete (aside from my 3D glasses) my gaming rig that's taken me since December 2010 to build.

My next move is a gaming mouse. I'm torn a bit between two Razer products.

Mamba Wireless/Wired and Imperator Wired. Both share same exact specs.

3.5G / 200 inches per sec / 7 no. of buttons / 1000hz-Ultrapooling / On the fly sensivity / 5600 Dpi.

I'd prefer wireless but I'm worried about the recharge hassel. Anyone that owns it give me some insight to some issues if any?

I guess the only real difference if one is wireless for $129 and the other not for $79 usd.

I'd like anyone who owns these to comment your personal usage of them to get an idea. I've been reading many of the feedbacks on Newegg and it varies. Both have feedbacks mostly in the positive but there are those negative ones that leave me to wonder.

I was hoping on the OCN community to give me their opinions as people here have more knowledge than the Newegg purchasers for the most part.

I looked into the Naga line and the macro buttons on the left side of the mouse will actually be more of a hinderance than helpful to me. It's over kill for me and that's why I've not included it in my possible choice.

The mamba is a nice mouse with the on the fly dpi settings. The battery life is about 7 hours too.

own a mamba for 7 months, dropped it three times because my mouse pad is slick. still working

one one charge and full day usage it lasts about 13 hours.

wireless mode: signal drops for liek one second. happens liek 3 times a day.

wired mode it works like a charm with no issues.

imperator is nice but doesnt have the same grip contours as a mamba/DA

your move

I don't buy mice until I can get the feel for it. If you go to a local Best Buy they normally have a bunch of mice out on display for you to hold.

I have the mamba, I get ~18hrs of battery life because I turn off the LED on the wheel and only use 500Hz ( no difference between 1000Hz ) I dont have the signal dropping issue, I've been playing a lot of SC2 as of lately.

I have no recharge issues on the mouse as well, when I take a break or go for lunch/dinner I pop my mouse on the charging cradle.

If you prefer wireless then the Mamba is the only obvious choice aside from the G700.

Mamba hands down. When I had my deathadder the braided cord would grind on the glass of my desk, mousepad and drive me nuts. Wireless is awesome!
