Razer Mamba or Razer Imperator, Choice? - Page 2

If i had too do it all over again the g700 i would've got in the first place.

I have the xai mamba heck other mouses like the orochi 2 x warmouses 2 Microsoft 1.1 mouses and and a 1.1a and even more than that but just too much too list.

But i like my g700 which i just got today better than all, Mainly for the comfort it gives, And it just performs just as good as the xai sense it has pretty much the same sensor as the xai but with no cramps in my pinky and thumb.

Dpi is crazy high tho which max i use is mainly between 1000 too 2500 max.

I just like the mx series design type and i also like wireless.

Mamba is a nice mouse but the sensor can be glitchy and jerky sometimes.

The 1.1 and 1.1a wmo is great also but its a pain too use with my monitors which is 1920x1080 and another one on the side in portrait, Just too slow for me.

"Neither" isn't really helpful, why post? I seen you own the Razer Deathadder. Whether you own Mamba or Imperator or not, it would be more helpful if you would at least say why? Just "neither" didn't deserve a post.

For those who have posted thus far have been helpful. I'm trying to justify spending the extra cash if needed before I make my choice. They're both doing the same thing and I'd prefer wireless myself, but the negative post on Newegg not so much credible but gave me to draw caution.

I've purchased a Razer keyboard and would like to complete my desktop with Razer mouse. Aesthetically pleasing as well. smile.gif

Ya if you like too have the a razer mouse that goes with your razer keyboard and wireless than i say the mamba i would pick than, The razer mamba isn't a bad mouse at all but the shape just isn't for me and the sensor is ok but not great but at low dpi like around 1k too 2500dpi it worked perfect for me.

But i don't think its worth the full price which is 130$ which what i paid when it was first release..

If you would like too have wire always i would try the Imperator, But if you would like too have wireless too which is a nice option sense i never had wireless problems when i used my mamba and i used wireless always than i would go with the mamba.

I prefer the g700 over it tho, And it does look pretty nice beside my black widow ut still:) No blue lights like the mamba but still nice looking.

But if you have a best buy or a store that carry's them it would be best too check them out and see if you like the feel and stuff.

Pretty much what my problem was i just saw pics and specs and just bought them right out over the web with out knowing how they built or fit my hand.

But ya for the people that saying neither isn't helping at all and shouldn't post, It be different if the op had what mouse should i buy or something but he states what mouses hes looking at getting and he has his eyes on razer products.

+1 rep for those who gave some input thus far. Thank you.

Question to gordesky1 - on the G700 I noticed the battery it comes with a rechargeable battery. Is it possible to avoid recharging the battery with the recharge USB cable and use regular AA batteries instead?

On the G700 second question : is the small USB receiver good to put in a front USB slot on my tower instead of on the USB receiver cable? It would be cool to not have to use the cable and just plug it into the front slot of two USB slots on the front of my rig.

If I don't need the recharging cable and receiver cable I could see having no wire clutter a big plus.

Again, thanks for the responses thus far.

Just tried it now with a spare aa battery i had on my table and it works:)

Yep you can plug the small receiver in any usb port with out having it on the receiver cable.

Thats another nice feature the g700 has is you can use any aa battery.

Edit Just too confirm it works in all usbs and not just the receiver cable i put the small usb receiver in my usb port on my razer black widow ut and it works.

mx518 is certainly a champ compared to those two philips twin eye sensored mice. but I wouldn't go as far as you're going.

For those who had the Mamba.....

Does the rechargeable battery have a life span of recharges where it can't be recharged any longer? If so, is there a replacement battery one can purchase?

I would hate for the rechargeable battery to eventually not be rechargeable rendering the wireless mouse option useless.

Lastly, I'm assuming that the charging dock on the Mamba acts as the USB receiver for the wireless option?

Now that's a pretty flexible wireless G700. Good points, might keep that in mind now as I come to a conclusion.

I had the Mamba, and had nothing but love for it. Before it I had the G5, and recently switched to the G700 because I personally have a better palm grip with Logitech mice it seems. I have small hands. I miss the Mamba's charging dock though.
