I was going to suggest a 5670 but happened to find this 9800GT Green which is equal/better performance, for somewhat cheaper. if I went for a 5670 it would've gone over budget and I would have to revert to a cheaper and inferior Rosewill mATX case + included PSU (which I'm not sure if I can trust if the system has a GPU of sorts in it), to stay within. Though 5670 has DX11, I'm pretty sure DX11 would be fairly useless on such build as features like tesselation would dumb everything down to the point where DX11 is not playable anymore. Overall I had to cut a few corners but I think the result is pretty good
I have seen 2 very good builds for $300! thank you very much sir! I am actually trying to sell my xbox (and stuff) for right around $350 or $400 so this will allow me to spend around $600!!!

$600 would get you a very very nice PC on AMD platform

Since I've got nothing better to do and I can just copypasta another $600 build I did today...
Phenom II x4 925 + ASUS HD 6850 - $260 shipped both
Gigabyte 870A-USB3 - $93 shipped [on Superbiiz], AM3+ socket/next generation AMD processor support
G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2GB DDR3-1600 - $40 shipped [cheapest on market] <<hurry, deal on this ends very soon!
NZXT M59 - $50 shipped [various - see link]
Antec NEO ECO 620W - $65 after promo [see link], $45 AR

- $59 shipped
LITE-ON 24X DVD-RW - $23, shipped, after promo [see link] (I think the other DVD drive you wanted is out of stock)
$591 shipped

Adding a $20-30 heatsink such as the Xigmatek GAIA SD1283 will make you overclocking-ready too!

I smell Intel Pentium 4 (netburst) Xeons that could be in there in which case the guy would be totally ripping you off, Pentium 4 performance was terrible (an equivalent gen processor from AMD had 2x clock-for-clock performance)

Haha nice! May I ask where you sold yours? Not to who but maybe if it was a website
post #36 of 39
Lol, I just posted on facebook status asking if anyone was interested; lucky for me one of my friends had a 360 and sold it a while back and was in the market for a new one. But I did the trade for the 360 initially on Craigslist, so you can try there or post it on ebay and set a reserve for it. Good luck with trying to sell yours!

I've been on geeks.com before. I agree they have some good deals, but their shipping costs are pretty rough
