The 1075T is a very good CPU or you could spend a little more and get the 1100T, I have and have seen some exellent results with initial Overclocking Specs - hitting the CPU Frequency at 3.89ghz which is very close to 4.00ghz. A good acquantance of mine also states it can be pushed beyond 4.0ghz and above. That applies to all the Thuban CPU's.

Try this chap he is very cheap and please feel free to tell him I sent you : -

Good luck!

1055t and 1075t are same thing, 1090T and 1100T are same. A 1090T/1100T will give you unlocked multi, and are not dependent on the motherboards FSB for overclocking. They can be had for around $170 here on OCN. 1055T/1075T will be up to your board on how far you can push them. Decent price though, not great but decent.

Edit: I guess what Im trying to say is if you can get a 1055T for cheaper get it. Because the 1075t and 1055t will reach about the same OC. If you dont want to OC then just bump the 1055t up from 2.8 to 3.0 without changing voltage and you have a 1075t. But I guess thats kinda overclocking huh.

Okay first of all - The link provided is a way over priced 1100T and it doesn't even come with the stock HS/Fan. You could simply go here, PLUS you get the amazing stock HS/Fan.

This ^

There is no point in getting a 1075T or 1100T if you can find a 1055T or 1090T for a cheaper price, because like he said - they are the same thing. One set has a unlocked multiplier and one doesn't. The only difference being stock clocks, which means nothing if your going to overclock.

EDIT: To answer your orginal question. It's not a great deal BUT it is $10 cheaper than the currently priced 1055T(the same thing). So in the end your really saving $10.

Woah sorry I was just trying to help - but I guess it is all about horses for courses!

Hey ho I will keep my links and opinions to myself - but I do feel the 1100T is a great CPU none the less...

Wait for BD or go Sandy Bridge!

If you already got a high-end AM3 board (=> I mean board that supports BD) then waiting is the best option.
In a month or two you'll regret your deal if BD turns out to be "duh, winning" worthy.

Even if you don't have a board yet I'd still wait. But you can join the Sandy Balls crew, most of them are satisfied with their choice.
