HOME SERVER options??? - Page 2

Ive also been trying to put my blu ray collection on it to stream to different rooms in my house but I have been having A TOOONNNNNN! of difficulty. t
The dvd were a breeze, but the blu rays some have high pitch noises in audio tracks others are spotty and glitchy, yet others dont play at all.

Ive been playing around with different software. Ill update as I figure ANYTHING out.

blurays have been a night mare.

Also word of advice the quad core that I bought is kinda overkill.

LOL! It even had a 40 pin ide rom!!! It still works as well!
I have a few 80G IDE drives kicking around so Ill play with it until I can upgrade my 1055t and board. Won't rely on it though, lol, but will use it a learner!!

FreeNAS:

Motherboard with x86 processor
128 MB RAM
32 MB free disk space
Network card
BIOS that supports bootable CD-ROMs
Another workstation with a modern web browser and access to the network FreeNAS is on

WHS:

1.0 GHz Intel Pentium 3 (or equivalent) processor
512 MB RAM
80 GB internal hard drive as primary drive
100 Mbit/s wired Ethernet

Note: These requirements have been upgraded for Windows Home Server 2011

If you are doing 1:1 rips use your p3 or get a dual core, if you are going to encode i would suggest getting a dual core and just encoding on your desktop overnight or while at work/school. I pay my own bills and like to see my electrical bill drop .
how can you rip blurays with a ps3?
