Hello, long time reader here, i need your advice
My pc Specs
CPU: Intel Core i7 860 2.80GHz / Cooler ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 / Ventilator Enermax Cluster 120
Motheboard: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD4
Ram: 2x Corsair 4GB DDR3 1333MHz CL9 XMS3 PC3-10600 Dual Channel Kit ( 8 GB )
HDD: Solid State Disk Kingston 40GB SATA-II V series for OS
HDD2: Western Digital 1TB SATA-III WD1002FAEX for data
Power Suply: Corsair CMPSU-650HX Modular
Case: Antec P182 / 2x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120 mm 1,150 rpm rpm front, back / Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120 mm 800 rpm up
DvdRw: Samsung SH-S223Q
Video Card: Gigabyte GTX 460 OC 1 GB GV-N460OC-1GI

I need some recomandations for a new CPU cooler and some new fans
I want silence ! I don`t overclock for now.
I thought at Thermalright Archon for CPU and 3 Thermalright TY-140 for case but i think they won`t fit my Antec P182
Thank u in advance

L.E. Or i should just buy 3 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120 mm 800 rpm and replace the old ones that started to make noise for the case

In a perfect world, you would use a Silver Arrow for the cooler, and AP-XX's for case fans

Fans- either Yale Loons or gentle typhoons if you can find them.

The skinny on fans is the single biggest factor in how loud they are is RPM. There's a bit of wiggle room depending on the manufacturer and quality, but for the most part any fan will be pretty durn quiet running at 800rpm. You can use a fan controller, wire in a resistor, or swap wires out and connect to the +5v pin to accomplish this. Also, use 120mm fans; they'll move more air at a lower RPM.

As for the CPU cooler, I'm using the scythe mugen-2 and it's awesome for the price. A couple degrees C hotter than the d14, but a fraction of the price and it's quiet as well.

(But it looks like they're out of stock on newegg. Bummer.)

Thank u for recomandation . Now i have 2 AP-13 and i find them loud u think if i want more silence i would buy 14/15 ? maybe 3 AP-12 would be a better ideea
Also i would like to thank Traches, Plex, elvla2 for suggestions
So for now i think i will remain at 3 GT AP-12 for case ( One front middle intake, another back exhaust, and last up exhaust , not sure for CPU tho

Sorry, I edited the post, lol any way if you think the AP 13's are loud then you wont be very happy with the Silver Arrow. The Ty-140 fans are rated at 17(900 RPM) to 21(1300 RPM). AP-12's are rated at 9 DBA. In light of you finding AP-13's loud, I would like to suggest that you get the Cogage Arrow or Thermalright IFX-14 with AP-12's. Both coolers perform the same(are the same lol). The reason I suggest this set up is it will save you a ton! no sence in getting the Silver Arrow if your going to have to swap out the fans. I would lean to the IFX-14, Would be fun to test out the CPU backplate cooler gizmo, although I'll bet its a gimik.

A good bet is to grab one of the passive coolers that allow you to attach a fan to it. In a case with good airflow they can generally sink the heat of decent processors, and if you do need to attach a fan, you can pick a quiet model and run it at low speeds.

I have a Xigmatek Thor's Hammer and I could attach 2 120mm fans to it, but the system runs very cool without them. My processor's temps barely climbed when my fan controller failed and all of my fans stopped spinning. How's that for failsafe?
