I recommend Asus boards.

Here are the following AM3 microATX Asus boards from newegg.com

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...CE&PageSize=20

I'm wondering if ANY of the boards on newegg will even fit in your laptop because of the width factor with multiple stacking slots for usb ports/audio etc.

Shouldnt be that hard. The only problem would be the front panel. If you find the pinouts before hand, Im sure you can hook it up easily.

Alright guys once again thanks for the help.

I ended up getting the foxconn mobo, and after a little head scratching I was able to get everything hooked up relativly easily. I'm about as close to 100% positive I hooked everything up correctly as you can be but now i've run into a road block.

I bought a windows 7 oem disc off newegg, popped it in the cd drive and can't seem to get the installation screen to pop up. It seems like my computer is still trying to boot up off the old windows install on my hardrive. Obviously cant so it gives me the option to do startup repair which obviously doesnt work.

The bios screen comes up and gives me the options to go to setup or a boot menu. I've gone to the boot menu and have tried booting the disc off of both my blue ray and standard dvd drive...neither works.

I know the answer is probably painfully obvious so please feel free to call me a noob, just make sure to answer my question first

Thanks!

Did you set the Disc Drive as the first boot device in the BIOS?
