Spct, did you get BC2 going at those speeds with stock voltage?
To OP: I've had both cards you were considering and I'm sticking with the lightning. The Sapphire Blue PCB actually did slightly better at stock voltage in real world gaming (970/1475) and it stayed just as cool as the lightning. However, it sounded like a jet engine. I'm sure the lightning could be even cooler if I let the fans go over 60%. The sound factor alone has me going for the lightning. Of course, after RMA and shipping expenses, I could have kept the Sapphire and put an Accellero Extreme Plus on it and had total silence. However, I would have lost even more money RMAing the lightning and buying the Accellero. The lightning heatsink is almost as good as the Accellero with only a $25 premium over the Sapphire. You made the right call. :-)Edited by breenemeister - 5/2/11 at 9:38pm
