I5 Laptop- Is it Decent?

WE are in need of a new laptop, and like to get nice, performing ones. How does this one stack up? Its got a amd 6470 and a i5 Sandy Bridge

It's not a OMG I NEED NEW PANTS laptop. It's a nice current setup. It will play most games but don't expect it to max out crysis

Well on the positive side a Macbook of the same spec would cost you at least $1500.

It's a Vaio, so yeah, it's a very nice laptop. Certainly puts any of those MacBooks to shame as far as looks/build quality/performance-per-dollar goes (yes, I'll gladly take any chance I can to bash those things )

I just ordered a Vaio EB series with 15.5" 1920x1080 LED-backlit screen, i5-480M and Radeon HD 5650 1GB. The 5650 is a step or two above the 6470, so you might want to look into getting a Vaio with that chip. It isn't anymore expensive, either -- the laptop was under $1,000, including taxes. I didn't add one of the larger capacity drives though, because I plan on putting in an SSD.
