Thread Starter

Im looking to use it for mkv/bd playback and live streaming. The total for this is
$537 but I would like some suggestions which I could upgrade or if this is enough for my needs.

Would like to keep it under $650.

Thanks

edit: i have a WD black 1tb hdd already

... I'm shocked.

I can't critique this, it's pretty much spot on for an HTPC.

Nice work

I should think a hard drive would come in handy.

well, if you have the headroom in the budget for it, why not just go for a sandy bridge i3?

Ah, I see.

Maybe instead of a separate wireless keyboard and mouse, you could get a wireless keyboard + touchpad combo. Looks just like the bottom half of a laptop, and means you can sit anywhere and still easily use the mouse, and it's all in one place so it's easier to store.

Yeah it will,

The old style i3's whilst will save you money can be overclocked to 4ghz quite easily.

I had looked at this keyboard combo.

It looks really awkward though. To me it just looked like the mouse would be easier and more efficient.

Could anybody shed some light on this keyboard?
