Removing bezels on Acer S231hl, bad idea?

I just got these and i am curious if removing the bezels is even a good idea. I can clearly see a small black boarderbetween the bezel and the the screen. Overscan is at 0. I dont think taking the bezels off will be good unless there is a way to stretch the display to the edgesof where the bezels are. I cant find how to do that in the monitor functions panel. So basically I think I would end up with no bezels and a huge gap of where they used to be and were the screen starts.

Anyone have experience with this situation and how they compensated for it? I may take them back when the store gets the Asus VE248H's back in stock. they are all back ordered. I wont deal with mail ordering monitors again. I had a huge issue with Tiger Direct with monitors I ordered. I still have not been refunded yet since UPS takes their sweet time with return to sender requests.

The bezels are there to block out the backlight. If you remove them it will light your room up uncomfortably bright unless you use something similar to the bezel to block the backlight. Im not saying its not possible but that backlight is bright.

Well mostly what I want is even thinner bezels. I have been looking for someone bear me that can mod them.
