Your logic is hugely flawed.

If you read, the people recommending the Orca's said one very important thing, IF you can buy them for the RIGHT price.
If you can buy a pair of Orca's for 40 dollars, you can't really beat that.
One question: Would you trust an audio manufacturer to produce a computer part, marketed towards gamers? You wouldn't would you? Why? Because they don't specialise in it nor have the past reputation in that product from people in the know. Now think about it and how it applies to audio from computer assessory manufacturers.

Also would you but a KillerNIC? Of course not. Why? Because you know measurement wise and anecdotal evidence wise vs. the cost and other alternative (see onboard NIC), that it's far from the extra cost, regardless of whether it was marketed towards gamers or not.
