my wifey computer- Sandy bridge project

Am updating a computer for my wife, this bad boy will be her internet / word / excel work horse.
this past weekend there were some nice sales on board, cpu and ram so i had to go open up the money pit a little bigger and do a budget machine. i went with a

Intel Core i3-2100 Dual-Core Socket LGA1155, 3.10Ghz
Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3 Socket 1155 Intel H67
G.SKILL Sniper Series DDR3 1600MHz 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 CPU Cooler
Western Digital Caviar Black 750GB
D-Link DWA-556, Xtreme N PCI Express Desktop Adapter

am putting all this in my old case
Antec Silver New Solution ATX Tower Case with 430w Power Suppply

i also purchased a bunch of fans to change and add
Thermaltake Blue-Eye 92mm LED Case Fan
Scythe SLIP STREAM 120mm

i plan to use my old ATI video card for this as well, its been 5 or so years since i purchased this card so am not sure if its any good for this build.

i plan to take some photos of the build so to keep you all in the loop, any ideas of changes or other things i have missed, let a sucka know

The onboard graphics of thea i3 is probably better than that ATi card you have

Also i dont thin 8GB of RAM will be needed and you left out the optical drive from thats etup unless you dont need/want one.

lol thats what i was thinking too about that ati card

i have two dvd writer in the case already and she will be using a Samsung 2320 monitor

as for the ram, i might as well fill the board up because she wants it to last at least ten years

If thats the case the i3 will be more of a bottleneck that 4GB of RAM. I personally would get 4GB of RAM and spring for an i5 if you can.

Aren't non modular supplies horrible? Look at that impossible to fix mess. Well, at least you don't need it to be tidy.

As for the ram, excel will use every bit of that ram. If she is using large excel sheets the more ram the better.

So the computer worked out pretty good for a budget set-up, it roughly cost me about $450 Canadian not including the case. Luckly the case had a side panel so i could hide most of the wiring which was really nice or this build would have been a mess. i also had to purchase a new optical drive and a sd card reader too.
