Difference between cool&quiet and Hardware thermal control???

My motherboard that the option of those 2 and as well and the C1E support.

I disabled cool&quiet and C1E because it seems like more ocers seem to do so. Should i also disable hardware thermal control???

manual says this "Enables or disables the CPU overheating protection function. When enabled, the CPU core voltage and ratio will be reduced when the CPU is overheated."

Sounds lot like cool&quiet tongue.gif

Hardware thermal control = throttles back the cpu to prevent overheating

Cool n quiet = throttles back the cpu to save energy when not under load

Hint: Hardware thermal control has not ONCE throttled my cpu and has not ONCE prevented the computer from rebooting when it hits the built in 70c cap. This is interesting, considering the custom temperature limit I set was at 60c and it did not do anything when it hit 60. In short, it's useless.

CNQ should be disabled when overclocking and will not work with multipliers past 18.

Cool-and Quiet works perfectly with your CPU, even if its overclocked. I run mine @ 4.4GHz with CnQ enabled.
(I just dont like my CPU @ 4.4GHz when has nothing to do.)

Huh. Mine doesn't work like yours does.....might just be the core unlocker though. I heard on another thread it doesn't work above 18x so I may be wrong.
