24-pin red 5v connector - two wires in one molex - which # pin is this?

Thread Starter
Alright, I was in the zone removing the pins from my 24-pin ATX connector on my Zippy PSL-6C00V 1200 watt power supply.

So, I'm half way through twisting the wires in preparation for sleeving, and I see that one of the red 5v leads has two wires in one molex.

I didn't bother to label any of the wires, as I usually just use a pinout diagram when re-wiring the molex - but I COMPLETELY forgot what pin # that the one two-wire red 5v lead is for the 24 pin ATX connector

somebody PLEASE refresh my memory as to what # wire/pin this is - it's either number 4, 6, 21, 22, or 23

+Rep to the first person with the right answer

Thank you!

Honestly I don't think it really matters. To the motherboard 5v is 5v.

EDIT:

Did some searching around the web and found this:

Pin 4

One of them is the +5V sense wire, which is used to improve voltage regulation. It's really nice to see Zippy put those on there. Usually PSUs only use sense on the +3.3V (since the absolute tolerance is so tight). It's a sign of good engineering to use it on the other major rails. See if they did it with the +12V too--it might be on the EPS12V connector.

Zippy did sense wires on both the +5v and +3.3v with the ATX 24-pin connector

none on the EPS 12v wires though

just one more reason why Zippy is the only PSU I'll ever buy anymore

I still have a PSL-6701P-SATA 700 watt PSU from around 5 years ago and it's still chugging along, and now I have the PSL-6C00V 1200 watt w/ two massive 50a 12v rails
