I would never pick up an open box.
If you'd see what I do with them on first day arrival you wouldn't want it after that.

Maybe with older gen stuff. Fermi has an almost linear scaling.

However, not all game can take use of SLI. Starcraft 2 is an infamous example. Single card only.

I say make a shorlist of your favorite games, the ones that you play most, and see if they support SLI. If the majority do, go for a pair of 560s. If not, stick with a 570.

If you thought a GTX 480 had a high power consumption just wait til you see what SLI will do to your electric bill.
