How much of a gap is there between the C-30/50 and the older Athlon II Neo's?

HP DM1Z is considered one of the best bang for your $$$ for AMD Fuzion = http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do?storeName=computer_store&category=notebooks&a1=Category&v1=Mini&series_name=dm1z_series&jumpid=in_R329_prodexp/hhoslp/psg/notebooks/Mini/dm1z_series

ASUS Eee PC 1215N = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220805

I wish I could afford the Fuzion or Ion, but I can't justify the price currently. At the price range, I begin to start looking at actual laptops instead of netbooks.

a significant gap in terms of power saving and architecture processing.

ive tried both of them at my local best buy. minecraft runs better on the C50 and plays 1080P content smoother off youtube.

the c50 blows the Athlon2 out of the water.

you should at least head out and check it out for yourself.

also: the HD6250 is relatively better than the HD4250

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Rad...0.40958.0.html

here are some actual reviews off the canadian version of bestbuy

http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/produ...tbookao522b-en

here is a useful review from a reviewer:

PROS:
The integrated Radeon 6250 GPU makes it capable of HD video (with appropriate software of course) and light gaming.
I'm finding the 6 hour battery life to be conservative (with a SSD, mentioned below, and primarily using it for browsing/email I'm getting upwards of 8 to 9 hours battery life).
The 10 inch screen boasts 1280x720 resolution (50% more pixels than other 10 inch screens) which makes for a very crisp picture.
CONS:
With only 768MB of usable RAM (256MB of it's 1GB being dedicated to video) and a SLOW HDD (I clocked it at approx 40Mb/s, half as fast as it should be by 2011 expectations), this machine as it is out of the box is below par. Such little RAM forces reliance on the paging file which, in turn, is sluggish due to the slow HDD which, again, slows the HDD access times even further for other uses.
NOTES:
I talked to Acer's customer support who, although apparently not very knowledgeable about this product nor very helpful, did inform me that I could upgrade the netbook without voiding the warranty. So I put in a SSD, and that made all the difference in the world, now this little machine performs quite admirably (not to mention quieter and more power efficient).
I'm giving this 5/5 based on how it performs with a SSD, If you're planning on leaving it as is then I'd give it 3.5/5 due to the sluggish HDD and/or little RAM hampering it's performance.

I'll have to research the c-50 more then. I see 1.0Ghz, and cringe. But so far everything I've found online supports the claim of being much better (mostly because it's paired with a Radeon 6250 instead of the older 4250)

The C-50 is really the lowest I would go outside of the N550 for netbooks now. That said with the right tweaking I was amazed that my netbook can do some HD video work. Sadly though, it's just youtube vids.

The E-350 is really where it's at if you want the best.

x120e/dm1z is your best bet at the moment. If you don't want to spend $400+, I suggest the C-50/N550. The other single core CPUs are trash if you plan on doing any multitasking(more than 1 tab open at once when surfing). I owned an Atom N450 and an E-350 and the E-350 is MUCHHHH faster.

What he and others have said. Minimum you want is dual core Atom 330, 525, 550 (all with ION) or the c50/e350 fusion APUs. You may be able to find an older ASUS 1201n. HERE. That's an ASUS 1201N for a good price. WIll handle gaming decently.

I have been researching netbooks myself, and have been leaning towards this model:

Atom Dual core 550 with ION graphics, the black one is $350, but the blue red and white are $300...

Im in the same boat, I dont care about gaming so much, but id like to be able to surf comfortably and watch a youtube video or something of that nature if I want to.
