Good or bad clocking i7 920? - Page 2

I'd just run the RAM at 1600MHz, that requires around 1.25-1.3 QPI to stay stable for most chips. You won't see any difference in real-life applications.

Hey Guys,

I have managed to get myself a nice i7 930 from a friend who is downgrading

Here is a HWBot submission of it on air

http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...30_5083.35_mhz

I have heard that it does 4.5ghz on 1.28 vcore easily and I know that it was only taken out of its box about 3months ago

Anyway, I was wondering what I should expect with my R3E since he is running a UD-5 and he ses its holding ti back?

Also, how do I find the max blck of my MB, that is apparently another reason that the chip is being held back.

Thanks
