Samsung T240 VESA mount? (24")

This is my visit to the displays section, be...gentle?

I'll be moving into a much smaller space soon and am thinking maybe if I can swing it mounting my two monitors to the wall would save some space. The HP probably won't be much of an issue but the T240 might be: I don't actually see any form of helpful screw holes or anything to mount it. Obviously it wasn't made for that.

Here is an image of the back of it I found from Amazon, albeit the 22" one (it's close enough)

41vXHMxrqfL.jpg

I was taking precursory look through what Amazon has and all the various mounting apparatus (apparatusees?) seem to assume they can be screwed into the back.

The stand on the bottom can be removed but I doubt that really helps me. Perhaps the exaggerated bezel can be utilized in some way?

So does anybody know or have a creative way to mount something like this? Or am I really out luck?

You could get a VESA mount and attach it to the monitor with high strength tape. I remember seeing someone attach a chassis to a window with some 3M tape. Pretty strong stuff when used correctly.

either what the previous poster said or... 1. mount it inside an edge mount (might be what is called an open-frame mount, but is as expensive as a new monitor :/ ), 2. mount a shelf and stand the monitor on the shelf, or 3. get a new monitor

I'm running into the exact same problem with any of the new samsung monitors and only 1 of them looks like it has vesa mounting holes :/

You could likely use some 3M double sided automotive molding tape. Usually you can get it at a good Hardware store like Lowes or even OSH. Some automotive parts stores have it but not often. You can order it online from here as well http://www.autogeek.net/3m-auto-tape.html

Be aware that it has a weight limit but it is very strong bonding. If you mess up the mounting of the monitor and it is not lined up properly getting it off will mess up the tape and you have to start all over again. Also once it is stuck on there for awhile(like months) when you decide to remove it, it will fight you and leave residue on the monitor and the stand and it usually will come off with a little elbow grease. I have used this stuff on my car for a small carbon fiber trunk spoiler. It sticks hard even at 150mph. If your monitors weight more than 6 or 7lbs you will have to use a lot of tape. Could work though.

Well this is my issue as well. no drilling. Either use the molding tape i linked to or sell your monitor and get one with Vesa. The other thing you could do is get that wall mount then get a cheap desk mount for vesa, and take them both to a good metal working shop and have them make a hybrid for you. I doubt it would cost much.

I like my humble T240. Works as a terrific PC display, works great as TV (has a remote and off timer and I use the HDMI port for the Roku). Either I'll figure out something creative involving... Herculease hooks?...or I'll just stick to leaving them on the table.

I had no idea they made a special wall mount. (go figure though, more money for samsung) Well at least this provides another option to the monitors I'm looking at (the 550 series S27A550H)

This stuff:

I've used this stuff for case mods before and have to say that there is no way it will hold a monitor. It barely held some flexed modder's mesh inside my case when I used it. Overall disappointed.

Also if anyone can find me a Samsung wall bracket for a 27" monitor I think I might be sold on buying one of them.
