Purchase i7 SB combo or wait for IB or BD?

Hello gents.

Whats your honest opinion on this topic title?

I'm not trying to start a war about SB, IV, BD.

I just curious, do I spend the money now, and be impressed?

Or wait and spend money to be more(?) impressed?

Thanks.

Modori.

Wait, definitely. Your system is great.

Although your power supply is UBER overkill!

This and this.

Although if you're desperate for an upgrade, at least wait for SBe. Should be released soon..

I was going to say upgrade to the Sandy Bridge, but looking at your system, I don't see why you'd want to! Any reason in particular why you're contemplating the upgrade?

Time to wait it out a couple more months, atleast for Bulldozer.

Your system is great already. If you want to spend money, maybe start a custom waterloop if you haven't already.

I'd at least wait to see what bulldozer brings to the table. Sandy bridge-e will perform similar to 1155 chips, except they will have more cores/threads since they are based on the same architecture.

Mmm.

The reason is, I installed a customer waterloop in my system, and it leaked on my motherboard, and obviously, I dried it and it works. But I have been having problems lately, and instead of just buying a new motherboard, I thought what the hell, mose well just upgrade.

Mmm, I guess I could just upgrade my graphics cards, these ones are good, but I feel weak saying I have 6870's not 6970/6990's.

Yeah, with the power supply, I was simply just grabbing it for the future. I'd rather have a power supply that is future proof, then getting a 750W and then needing a 900W in a year.
