Is there a dtop gadget that does this?

I want to be able to enable and disable my network connections/adapters from the desktop. If possible, I'd also like the gadget to allow me to switch between wireless signals.

This may possibly be more wireless focused than you are looking for, however Xirrus' Wi-Fi Monitor seems like it might be something that could work for you.

Details here:

I'll keep digging around though, because I'm not certain it will give you all of the functionality needed.

Hope it helps.

Wesker.

It seems to be a valid solution, but it's far too heavy-handed for my taste. Anything slimmer than that?
