You guys really inflate Intel's motherboard prices. When I bought my system, feature rich 890 fx boards were the same price as feature rich P55 boards. In fact, the P55 boards had something the 890s didn't - SLI. They started at ~150 and went up to ~230. Just like Intel. If they priced the 980 @ $120, they will effectively invalidate all remaining stock of
and will also put tremendous pressure on their Athlon II X4 645
They can't lower the prices of the above mentioned processors to avoid this either, because that will cannibalize their Athlons.
