It's like having some of the benefits of using Linux, but it has a really nice GUI on top of it, and actually has Adobe programs and Silverlight (Netflix). Most people here are probably going to disagree with this though.
If I had the money, I'd Probably pick one of these new iMacs. Although if I had that much money, might as well go all the way and get a Mac Pro.
EDIT: Just realized the 27" will have two Thunderbolt ports, does that mean the iMac will support triple monitors?
Yes, I believe it can support one monitor per port.

Hardware's hardware. If both machines are running Windows with the same specs they'll be practically identical. If you're talking about OS X vs Windows with the same specs, yes it's been done and Windows wins.
