Plss help !

Hello i made my first mode here and when i put in the hardware, motherbord, power supply, hdd and all that stuff and i try to turn on the case but nothing work, the screen says no signal, but when i take out the BIOS battery the case turn on the fans work and all is fine but still nothing comes on the screen, there lights up a yellow light on the motherbord but i cant find any manual to find out what the light means and this motherbord is from another pc thats called HP 7700.

Hope some one can help me.

Are your motherboard stands correctly inserted?

It sounds like your MOBO may be grounding out.

motherbord stands ? what is that ? if you mean the cables are correct then they as they should be.

No the little metal things you place the motherboard on.

They are usually about 1/2 inch metal things that keep your motherboard lofted above the area on which it sits.

I tested the GPU and the AGP connector on the motherbord but i still get nothing and to turn on the case i need to remove and put back in the BIOS battery.

but how can that be it worked perfectly before, if it's dead why does the pc turn on when i remove and put back in the battery ? and the fans and everything is conected to the motherboard and they turn on.
