I always love these threads

Can't we all just get along?

EDIT: I am really tempted to post War - Why can't We be friends?

Be a man for once, and admit you were wrong. That's all. I know it's though for you and your ego since you are the local ''Nvidia hero'', but spending alot of money on things doesn't make you instantly an ''expert'' on those things.

Your ''Crossfire bridge bandwidth limitation'' story was wrong. Maybe you have an agenda, I don't know. But instead of taking everything you said for granted, I just put my mouth where my wallet is, and bought the things, and test the configuration myself. And it's working, even in portrait mode.

It would be nice to have 4 6950s unlocked and OC to 950 for $1000. Instead, the xfire bridge bottleneck and mixmatched ports prevent you from being able to do this. Hopefully they fix this for the 7000 series.
LOL. Blah blah blah. You are really grasping here. It's funny. But it's working fine. That's all. No bandwidth limitation. 3X 30'' LCD with Quad-Fire. Vega, and you, said it would crash crash crash. When you don't know how to install drivers, you don't try complicated things like that.

Btw the Pooper. When are you buying a real set-up to test all those points you are posting against AMD everywhere ad nauseum? Stop copy and posting everything Vega is saying. Do like me and Vega. Buy the things, and try them yourself instead of just copy and pasting the results of others.

At least Vega is trying. And he's playing with the real things. You are just speculating about 4X 6950.

So do like us. If you want to be taken seriously, go out, buy 4X 6950 and 3X30'' LCD and TEST IT for real! Or else, you are just speculating.

So now, please stop the misinformation.

And now we know Vega is just a random user like all of us, and not an ''expert''. So take all the results he gets with a grain of salt.

And Pooper. Until you have the real things in hands, it's no use for me answering your speculations. So do like me and Vega. Go buy the things you like to bash, and then you will be able to post real facts.

Just Cause 2 and Metro 2033 at 7680X1600. Working fine. No ''bandwidth problem''. No ''crash crash crash''. Funny.

You're incorrect about not being VRAM limited(unless you're playing with 0xAA and in some games that's still not enough).
You didn't try portrait or the older drivers to see if it still works either.
But most importantly you're not using 4 6970s, you're using 3-way and having to use a 6990 in order to prevent screen tearing.
You're not even testing the same video cards, so why are you even trying to compare results?

I don't need to waste money buying 4 6950s only to then find out afterwards that they can't handle 3 30" and have screen tearing issues. It's called being smart; I do research before I buy something. Which is why I went with the 3GB 580. 2 6990s are a probable alternative, but they'll still be memory limited preventing any AA usage in today's games at that res. Which of course is why you'll never post benchmark results because you know you're hitting the 2GB wall.

What does being a man have to do with it? What if he is gay? Or a Girl?
Stop attacking him!
Where is the fraps, any numbskull can put a still image. Let see a fraps.
Where is your wallet here? Lol Looks to me like your getting owned by a single card. Stop the whining and bring some love.
