Good 2x2 DDR3 for overclocking?

Hey.
When I bought my computer I wasn't aware I was getting some crappy cheap **** from OCZ. (I got the Gold ram sticks).
They are utterly bad and won't clock 1Hz over stock, and won't do any tighter timings, it seems it can't even handle a higher base clock, I tried going 250 base clock, and having higher dividers, to have the same resulting 1600MHz, but it wasn't stable.
I've read (recently) that they are pure crap and I'm not the only one disappointed.
I also tried higher voltages, and everything on auto but no help.

I want to be able to over clock my entire system including the base clock because I don't want to go over 18.5x multiplier (or under 14x or was it 14.5x, and not over 300BCLK but that won't be the case anyway) as I want Cool and Quiet to be enabled. I'm looking for RAM that could handle higher base clocks so that I'm able to overclock my whole system.

I heard G.Skill is nice, any ideas?
Remember that I don't need to get the best, just something that overclocks even a little, these OCZ ones are just pure crap, they probably wouldn't even handle a base overclock of 210 lol.
So yeah, anything decently priced out there that can handle a little bit of overclocking?

Raise the DRAM voltage. A good kick in the VRAM to 1.7-1.75 can get these to do 1600 6-8-6
Or perhaps CPU-NB voltage

I have 2 sets that are really awesome:

Corsair Dominator GT's 1600 CL7 (most can do 6-6-6-18 1600)
Redline Mushkins 1600 CL6 ( mine can do 6-8-6-24(stock) 1780)
Mushkin Redline
Both of these are at stock volts. Cant find a link for the Corsairs.

Wow thanks for the info.
I got my ram run at 1666MHz CL8 (yay), but when I even increase the CPU/NB by 250MHz, it's unstable again, however I haven't tried the whole (safe) voltage range yet.
