Which GPU for my system?

I have a budget of $300 - $350. single or multi card is fine. What GPU will max out (on 1080p, no AA) BFBC2, ARMA II and BF3 (i know that specs are not known yet) on my system?

HD 6970 - $330
HD 6950 - $230
GTX 570 - $340

I would personally go for the 6950 reference card and unlock it to a 6970 with a bios flash.

Do you have any ATI/Nvidia bias?

A 570 is an option but at that price point an unlocked 6950 will save you some serious money and leave you close to being able to grab another for crossfire.

The 2GB of VRAM will help future proof you in case you move to a larger screen or want to max out AA in newer games.

I have a GTX 570 and I love it. The HD 6970 is close but in the games you play i think the GTX 570 would be better. But im very happy with my GTX 570. Plus ive had problems with ATI drivers in the past. Plus the part where you have to have game profiles for the drivers to work right in like dirt 2. I really dont know how many games that effects tho. Never had a prob with Nvidia.

560ti since you don't plan on using AA, save the rest of your cash for a future upgrade.

An HD 6950 is a card that was supposed to be a 6970 and didnt make it. So it might not be as stable unlocked. But it could. The results vary. Sounds like a great idea but some have not been so lucky.

Just so we are all clear on what I am doing. I sold all of my rigs about a year ago and have been on consoles since. I still prefer my consoles, but I want to get back to PC gaming.

I have this rig that is currently being used as my server/HTPC. I am taking that and using it as my desktop and replacing the server. I do plan on using AA, but I would rather have high frames than AA, if it will make a difference. So the consensus is either a 6850 (flashed to 6870) or a 570?

I would go 6950, flash it and then save up another $100 for crossfire (and I lean Nvidia...)
