Which GPU for my system? - Page 3

I think two of these, not only will it fit in your budget it will run the desired games posted with eye candy

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121419

http://www.anandtech.com/show/4012/n...e-sli-update/2

These will preform on par and surpass in most cases a GTX 580

Not to mention they are bad a s s looking

Best of luck

You mean $200 more right?

CFX 6950 = $460

SLI 570 = $660

But I agree, if you are content with minimal AA and don't plan on going SLI or getting a bigger screen, $350 is way to much to spend now. Grab a 560ti and spend your saved money elsewhere.

This was what I was asking for proof on, where did you hear/read this?

Yes my bad your price is about right but if he gets that MSI in the second post of this thread than he can get 2 for about 600.

Idk if ATI or AMD came out and published this but y would you make a 6970 and then disable shaders to sell it as a 6950? I have read it in a couple diff places but cant remember off the top of my head and dont know the credibility. But i know people have problems unlocking them and even if you dont its still not as powerful as a GTX 570. But close

My bad. I thought those were 6950's. Reading too fast.

Thread Starter
Just to reiterate. Right now, I am using a 55" Samsung LED TV for this PC. I will buy a 24" again and use that, so assume that 1920*1200 will be used, but not for another few months. I have no issue with AA, but it is not a necessity. I would prefer it having high detail and deal with a few jagged edges than have high AA or AF and have to have it run on medium settings. With that in mind, if I can run with AA and AF and still maintain playable rates (to me playable is 40+), then that is great.

So, with that information, what would you do? I can stretch the budget to 400 max, no more.

You could easily get a 560 and be happy but for $380 how about this used 580

You don't even need to spend half that much to do what you're trying to do.
