What's wrong with that? The 5850's are great cards that can push any game out there easily.... If that's the recommended, that's a good thing.

Agreed.

It might not even be a 5850, a 5770 will probably max it out.

I think this game will be greatly optimized for some reason.

GPU's and computer hardware are out pacing software at this point by ALOT. Why? consoles.

Valve/Dice will hopefully push the standard much higher with BF3 and hopefully a new engine from Valve. If one company takes the lead and pushes PC gaming to the next level, the rest aren't going to stay behind.

If that's the recommended GPU, then you will still need more to max it out.

Unlikely since recommended specs are not the specs required to max out a game. If a HD5850 is needed to play it well, then you're look at a GTX570 to max it probably.

I hate word "optimized" because most people don't develop nor even understand what optimization is....

Console ports usually say: 6800gt/1950 minimum. And the recommended 8800gt .
Now if a 5850 is recommended well then...

Again, that's a GOOD thing. GAMERS want games that can push their hardware. I see no issue with this. Especially since the expected title of the year for graphics (C2) failed so hard at doing such, even a smaller title such as this doing that for gamers is a good thing.
