Need help to chose 120mm fan with good static pressure for radiator

Hi guys,

I am back again. Thanks for your input yesterday! Now, I am looking for a good 120mm fan for radiator. The requirements are:

1. The static pressure should be at least 3mm H2O
2. Should be 25mm thickness, not 38mm!
3. Noise level the lower the better, no more than 40dbA?
4. Should be ball bearing, not sleeve bearing!

Any suggestions? Very much appreciated!! Thanks much!!!

It sounds like you're looking for the impossible...

There is a reason everyone goes nuts over those GT AP-15s, they're the highest combination of CFM, pressure, low noise, in a 25mm size... If other fans were better with these specs, then people would be buying them like crazy instead of GTs.

Also, it's almost impossible to get reliable specs from manufacturers, so we tend to rely on the fantastic work of other forum members who take their time to test fans and share with the community in threads like this one, which is the all-time greatest fan thread.

The dba of a fan doesn't matter as much as the quality of sound. Above is the best source of information you can find for a comparison on fans. Give that a shot.

I don't mean to be critical, but the best information anywhere I've seen is here on this forum, and especially in that thread above. If anyone recommends anything else, they're likely going from a spec sheet, which are usually way understated dba, overstated CFM and pressure, and give the entire wrong impression of the fan in question.

Thanks a lot for your input, Dr.GumbyM.D!! Do you have any idea whether the GT AP-15 can handle the 30FPI high density radiator without push/pull?
