Samsung TA950

Thread Starter
Hey, I'm planning on buying the new Samsung SyncMaster TA950 I picked this over the dell u2711 because it seems more feature rich and looks amazing even though 3D is kind of a gimmick. so I'm pretty set on this unless anyone can prove that the u2711 is better. what I want to know is when it comes out I heard sometime around May but I'm not sure and I need a specific date so if anyone can let me know it would much appreciated.
Thanks
Here's the link Samsung SyncMaster TA950

Apologies if I'm bumping a thread that's (too) old. No specific releasedate but slashgear said that the lower 750 model will release at $599. I'm guessing the 950 will be below $800 and sometime in late May / early June. I tried pressing Samsung for a release date and they wouldn't budge.

Its also up on Ebay (The 27 inch 950) for $915 right now from Korean sellers with free shipping so I'd say $800ish is a pretty fair estimate.

You do not want the T27A950 as that cannot do true 120Hz. The T is for TV version. Only the S27A950 can do true 120Hz over DVI-D/DP.

True but the 'S' version hasn't got the HDTV and Monitor combo. If you just want a monitor without the TV add-on Then the S27A950 would be the go. Personnel preference I guess.

I don't think too many people are looking for a TV on this computer forum. The T version is essentially a TV stuck at 60Hz with mutliple A/V inputs. The S version is the 120Hz computer monitor.

Just an update for you guys,

I have a friend in Korea who is confirming they're $615 USD (with exchange rates).

I ended up dropping out of the wait and getting a beautiful 37", 3D, LED, 240hz Panasonic HDTV... I specifically got it because I wanted a large screen but no input lag.

This thing has under 10ms input lag in game mode (Tested and verified, not just a stat from the company's site) and I am fully satisfied.

I was pretty sure the T27A950 supported 120hz as it has Dual-DVI and it's primarily a pc monitor, secondarily a tv. Can anyone confirm/deny this 60hz rumor?
