Oh, I see it in your screenshot, called "Shade". No idea why it's different. Maybe you have a non-US English?

P.S. Why on earth are you taking pictures with your phone?

Because, for the life of me, function + print screen + paste in gimp dun work, so I figured, meh, take pic, email myself, upload pic, post pic... long yes, but works... ^_^

And it's us-english, straight from install..

No sorry, shade, I don't have an explanation for it really.. Shade is it, ish, but not, see, it's not, because I had maximize as double click, and the roll up, "I shook the bar vertically in a square inch area, up and down 2-3 times each direction, and it did the same as roll up as you guys have", so it's not "it", but almost......

- Le_Loup

P.S. Why is it called shade, it makes no sense for it's process, i'd understand if shade meant fade...

First go to System-Preferences-Appearance. Select visual effects tab. Select "extra"

Go to System-Preferences-Windows

Select the drop down menu from the "double click title bar to perform this action" button.

Select "Shade"

Now you have it!

It is called "shade" because the window rolls up like a window shade. The double click raises and lowers the "shade"

I'm using the "shade" effect right now on US English version 10.10 and it works perfectly.

@Le_Loup

'Shade' in 10.10 does what 'Roll Up' does in 10.04. frown.gif

I wonder if you can set the 'Magic Lamp' animation/effect to the bar instead of just minimize/maximize. Maybe that's what you're looking for?

End result needing, is... instructions to configure the following.

"shake bar up and down, or left to right"
-- Result -- Rolls up/shades up.

"Double click bar with double left click"
-- Result -- Maximizes, or windowizes --

This is what i'm seeking, as I don't want double click to shade/roll up, ie I don't want double click to replace maximize, as I use that also...
