Personally have not used them, I have the standard series currently. I have to assume they are just as good or better than what I am running and I love them. Go for it.

If your gaming, dont get enough to just get by, get what is going to last you for a while and not cause you any issues with whatever else you more than likely have running at the same time. All up to you though on that build, but having a MIVE...have some pride I kid of course.
Argue? Discuss/debate!

As for the 64-bit comment:
"Mult-tasking and gaming (MMO's primarily) will rape 4gigs pretty fast on a 64 bit system. "
Would be the same thing as:
"Mult-tasking and gaming (MMO's primarily) will rape 4gigs pretty fast."

So I am asking why 64-bit OS was even mentioned?
Once again...

It's pretty basic knowledge that a 64 bit OS comsumes almost exactly double what a 32 bit process does. That's the difference between a 64bit OS and a 32bit one.

I got the Ripjaws black 6-8-6 1600Mhz 2x2Gb kit because I had 8Gb on my old Q6600 system and removed the 2x2GB kit to run 4Gb total for about 2 months and never ever saw any difference what so ever on my gaming machine. So when I got the SB i settled for 4GB, the ram I got maybe a bit more expensive because I like the black color and I like the numbers on the timings even if they dont do jack squat in gaming.. Same reason why I got an i7 2600K because I dont like the i5 label Intel placed on the 2500K.

The OP's choice is good even if he made a mistake the difference in gaming might be just 1-2FPS tops!
