prime95 worker stopped?!

Thread Starter
Has this happened to anyone before? I have a foxxconn g41mxe and a daul core celeron, stock 2.7, and cant get it past 3.4 without having a failed test on prime95, at 3.4 I have tested for 18 hours, without seeing past 55C, and at 3.5 everything runs about the same except one of the workers always stops.......computer still running fine, perhaps it is because I can't change the cpu voltage? I am at 2.23v

well first off, you aren't at 2.23 volts. maybe 1.23. if a worker stops that means there was an error and that you aren't stable. Just because you don't BSOD when running prime doesnt' mean you are stable.

Thanks, and you are correct, 1.23v, any thoughts on how to increase the stability at a higher oc, I feel that with a max cpu temp of 55C I have plenty of room left. Idle is at 33C

You can raise your voltages up. If you can't raise those up, then you don't really have any good way of stabilize your overclock.

anything above 3ghz is pretty decent for a normal everyday chip.

Thanks, and overall I am happy with how it has worked so far.

What's the error it gives you when it stops?
