Just because you happened to be running Firefox at the time your system crashed doesn't mean it was the root cause. I have never heard of a web browser causing a system failure so bad it needed a OS reinstall.
Neither have I. And I barely have anything open on my PC at any given time anyway. All I have is my Mouse software, headphone software, Avast, MSN, Skype, and Steam. Everything else is system related.

I don't know how it happened, but I know it happened. Whenever I tried opening FF after that it just crashed and created a log file. Also, every other Application I had would crash instantly when I clicked on it, but they ran fine in the background.

Firefox used to crash a lot my end too, especially when opening a pdf.

But since i removed the adobe pdf reader and installed foxit reader I've been crash free and rock solid stable. It even feels a bit quicker overall and certainly starts a lot faster.

I can't prove the problems and cure are related but since the switch I've not had a crash on any pc using the two.

Sent from my Galaxy S Ifail Killer.
