Is there anything better than Dell U2311H for similar or slightly higher price?

The Dell U2311 was selling for CDN 239.99 at Dell Canada. Unfortunately the deal was off and I'll probably have to wait for another month for the price to come back.

So, is there anything out there that will beat or match the Dell under CDN 300? The monitor will be used mainly for browsing, gaming (starcraft 2 and upcoming diablo 3), and maybe movies. I would prefer an IPS as well.

Thanks!

Can't find any E2370V in Canada. How is 236v compared to the Dell? I heard they use the same panel, so why is the LG more expensive?

He i was asking in my thread about the E2370V for gaming, i think it is the same compared to U2311H right? But then the Thru Mode is supposed to reduce the Input lag by quite a margin.

How is the U2311H for gaming? You had any ghosting? And how was the Input lag?
I am considering buying the E2370V, but to bad there is no review out yet =/.

No noticeable ghosting or input lag on my monitor (A01 revision).

The LG E2370V doesn't have an IPS panel. There is a very long thread discussing this for the 27" model with the exact same panel. After contacting LG customer service, they found out the panel was indeed a TN panel. What gives it away is the viewing angles. 178/178 is the usual viewing angle for IPS panels, while the E2370V is 178/168. Now, it's still better than a normal TN panel, but I doubt its equal to an IPS panel.

So it comes down to the IPS236V vs the Dell.

Dell advantages: more adjustable stand, USB ports. Dell's customer service.

LG's advantages: HDMI port.
