Nexus S, the Galaxy S are nice, but with the Nexus you get the latest updates hot out of the oven.

They're both really similar in terms of hardware.

Maybe I just have better eyesight than most, but this is what I see:

IPS: http://dedi2.nedprod.com/static/meiz...M9_960x640.jpg

Fuzzy and gross. Samsung is cheating you with the resolution. They claim its an 800x480 screen but its actually only 2/3 of that. The rest is interpolated, which gives a noticeable reduction in sharpness.

Serious? Fuzzy means your sight is starting to fail. I have no issues with fuzzyness.

Fuzzy as in it can't even display straight lines, so you get jagged edges on text and

If you can't see the ugly subpixel layout then you're far sighted and probably need reading glasses.

The Galaxy S looks great from > 4 feet, but hold it side by side with a Desire HD and it doesn't even look like the same resolution (because its really not)

i agree that IPS is better for text but Samoled is far from unreadable but also Samoled is better for 3-d images because the pixel arrangementgives black divisions in diagonal patterns which is makes jagged edges and lack of AA less noticable.

besides, i'd give away a little sharpness in exchange for beautiful colours and blacks any day of the week.

As for the screens... the AMOLED screen on my desire is better than anything else I've seen, including the galaxy.
I'm pretty sure the only company that is manufacturing AMOLED screens is Samsung. So it's likely that they are the same panels.

This^ and I have 20/20 vision, and while it is not as sharp as normal LCD screens, but then again, its not fuzzy, at all. Unless you look at your phone from like 1 cm away, and in that case you will be needing glasses very soon ^^

Unless you're getting the Galaxy II... keep the NS.

I'd got my desire before samsung stopped manufacturering them for HTC. I know but I swear samsung has done something to them, mine looks more crisp and is much less hard on the eyes than one of my friends galaxy S's...
